More thoughts on Wild Force...

We'll just ignore the fact that I'm failing at the 30 days of Power Rangers thing.

Okay, so, this was something I meant to talk about last time and then forgot: damn, the Wild Force Rangers were weak! It seemed like every episode they got their asses kicked, then had to pull something out of said asses in order to save the day. Not to mention, they demorphed and/or got kicked out of their Wild Zords all the time! Not that demorphing never happened in other seasons, but it felt like it was occurring way more frequently in Wild Force (especially the whole getting kicked out of the Zords thing).

Um... Toxica and Jindrax are the cutest things ever. Especially Jindrax. ♥ I love how Toxica was always scheming against the master Orgs! I'm glad they didn't get destroyed in the end.

Speaking of cute, Shayla and Merrick? Shipping so hard. Merrick was a terrible actor, unfortunately (not that Shayla was really any better), but they were so adorable together! That said, I'm not sure if I bought Shayla's temper tantrum when she thought Merrick didn't like performing for the deer zord... it was totally out of character. Oh well. One point of confusion: is Shayla human? She looks human, but she told Merrick that he had to stay on Earth because he was human. (WHAT NO STAY AND HAVE BABIES.)

...Okay, guys, I have to confess: I didn't think the deer song was awful. It was, um, interesting, but the flute playing was nice! And Merrick was involved, so, yeah.

So called the kid being Animus. But omg they killed a kid! Damn. That's almost as bad as Kendrix's death on Lost Galaxy.

TIME FORCE TEAMUP OMG OMG OMG. Um, YES to Eric and Taylor. That was fucking PERFECT. They were so cute together! I loved that scene at the end where Eric took the book out of her hands and they were bantering over it. Also, his comment about the Q-Rex being better than the Eagle Zord was totally phallic, but totally Eric. I would have liked some follow-up... but I guess the actors were only available for so many episodes.

Thought the back-and-forth about Orgs vs. mutants was unnecessary. Also, I didn't understand why the mutant-Orgs sometimes spoke gibberish, and other times spoke English? However, it was nice to get some back story on how Ransik got those bone weapons.

Jen is a total bamf. End of story. But we didn't get a kiss from her and Wes! Show, I am disappoint.

(On a side note: my roommate was watching the team-up with me, and when the Time Force Rangers started appearing, she was like, "Good! Teach these guys [the Wild Force Rangers] how to act!" Hee.)

Forever Red: Eh. The morphing scene with the explosions was awesome, and the fight was pretty good, but I was really confused by how they paired the Red Rangers up. Like, I sort of got Cole and Jason together (rookie and the original), but Eric and Aurico? Andros and Carter? Wes and Tommy? TJ and Leo? I just... meh. It should have been Tommy/Jason, TJ/Andros, Leo/Carter, Wes/Eric, and Cole/Aurico. (Or Tommy/Jason/Aurico, TJ/Andros, Leo/Carter, and Wes/Eric/Cole.) Also, the episode went majorly downhill when Cole got on his flying motorcycle thing to blow up Serpenterra all by himself. Plus, SPACE DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. Not that Power Rangers has ever cared that much about science, but jeez... Finally, my love for this episode was sort of dimmed when I found out that, originally, Katherine was supposed to make an appearance as Tommy's wife. Aw, HALE NO.

So, now onto Ninja Storm. I've literally never seen a single episode of the season, so I'm excited and unspoiled!

i have a lot of feelings, power rangers
