Pup ran in and jumped up on Victor trying to demonstrate that he could do nifty things with his tongue, too! See! Now your nose is clean!
Walter shook his head at the hound and dropped the bags on the bed. "It was cold. You might have noticed. I stopped in the new store and picked up a pair of heated quilts and a little one for Pup."
He pulled the electric blankets out of the bags and fished out the small box he had taken to Agatha's shop.
"Ah!" Victor laughed as he fell to the floor with the hellpuppy, and got a vicious nose cleaning. Finally, he lifted Pup out of the way, and looked at the box Walter was holding.
"You got me something?" he asked, getting up and setting Pup on the floor. He approached the box with curiosity and a strange anxiety, but took it and opened it up.
Inside sat a small, round robot with one eye and only one arm. The arm it did have was actually a hammer, and Victor looked at it with fascination.
"What is it?" he asked, looking back at his boyfriend.
Walter turned it over and showed Victor the engraving. "It is... it's an alarm clock. But it only recognizes you. Here. Let me show you. Lie down."
He set the clock to go off one minute later and put it down on Victor's OMGmoddedoutofthinair bedside table. Then he lay down on the bed and patted Victor's side.
"To V. For early mornings after late nights. W." he read, blushing as Walter took the "clock" and put it on the bedside table whichi'vealreadymentionedisthereaboutfivetimesnowLOL.
He lay down where instructed, and a munute later was greeted by a bonk in the head.
"Hey!" he cried, rubbing his forehead in mock pain. "You got me an Alfred?"
Victor picked the robot and looked at it again, smiling a little as he read the inscription again. Then, he turned his head and grinned. "I love it. Thanks, Walter," he said before lightly grabbing Walter's shirt and pulling him forward for a kiss.
Walter was sure that many men had heard that over history, but it didn't matter, he was hearing it from Victor and it made him happy to see how happy his boyfriend was.
He wanted to fill the room with dingbots if they'd make Victor smile like that every day.
He pulled Victor closer and kissed him until Pup jumped up on the bed with them and tried to weasel his way into a warm spot between their bodies.
"Sorry, Pup, this is a human-only thing," Victor said, smiling at the hellpuppy. Then, he rolled his eyes and rolled on his back, grabbing Pup and holding him in the air.
"What are we gonna do with you, huh?" he asked the hellpuppy.
"I think I have an answer for that." Walter slid out of bed and pulled the heating pad out of its package. "It's just the right size for a certain hellpuppy I know who likes warm things."
He plugged the pad in and put it in a clear corner of Victor's room that - strange coincidence - didn't have a view of the bed.
"Come here, Pup, look what I have for you."
Pup wriggled until Victor put him down and ran over to sniff the strange new thing until he realized it was getting warm. Several fast spins later, he was settled down on the heating pad looking very smug.
"Yeah, brilliant," Victor smirked, echoing his boyfriend's speech. He looked at his old clock really quickly, then turned back to the robot and told it the time. He laughed when it repeated the time back to him.

"I also had the woman who runs Sparky Repairs make something for you."

He kissed the completely uninjured spot on Victor's forehead. "You don't like it?"

No, not really, but he sure felt like it.
"Thanks," he said, and kissed Walter again. "You're the best boyfriend ever."
