Room 335 - Late Saturday Night

Victor waited in his room, hoping that Walter would show up. He hadn't been able to find his boyfriend for a couple days now, which was weird. Even after the radio broadcast, though, he wasn't jealous or anything. He just kind of missed his boyfriend...

Very late, after OMGWTFNazis! Walter came in and dropped down on Victor's bed, not even saying hello, just lying down and closing his eyes.

Victor gave a worried frown, and ran his fingers through Walter's hair, waiting for his boyfriend to speak. It's what Walter would've done for him, after all.

"There were Nazis in the park tonight. An entire orchestra of them. Did you hear thunder earlier? There were zeppelins!"

He clenched his fists and rolled over. "I thought they were gone now!"

"So that's what all that stuff was about! I heard the booming and saw some flashing coming from the town, but I thought it was just the show tonight. Now I wish I'd gone. We could've kicked some Nazi ass tonight."

He put a comforting hand on Walter's houlder and smiled a little. "Fandom makes us go through some crazy shit sometimes, Walter. They'll probably be gone in a few days, if not tomorrow."

Walter knew Victor was trying to be comforting, but it really wasn't helping. Seeing those uniforms displayed so brazenly and the smugness on each and every face in the orchestra brought home to him that there was a war on at home. It was easy to distance himself from it here in Fandom, where it was ancient history or the distant future for most people.

What he'd seen in the park was a reminder of his present.

"I think I have a lot to think about."

Victor was about to try to cheer Walter up again, but then remembered a fight that the had had months ago, when Walter had needed to think and Victor had sort of pressured him.

"Okay," he nodded. "If you want to talk, I'm here for you, and if you need some time to yourself, you can have it, too. If there's anything I can do to help, I'll do it, okay?"

Kill them all was an unlikely request, so Walter skipped it.

"Thanks. I don't think there's much to say." He sighed and put his arms around Victor. "Tell me something good."

"You rock my socks and always will," Victor offered.

Walter smiled wanly and put his head down, torn between tears and anger or mabe angry tears. "I'm so tired. I'd forgotten here. You know? You can forget in the middle of all the fun weirdness, being a kid, turning into a girl. And then this shit..."

Victor nodded, understanding where Walter was coming from, but in a reversed way. Being at Fandom had made him forget something important that he wouldn't have forgotten back in his world, and it was good that he'd gotten back what he had lost. Walter, on the other hand...

He wanted to give some grand speech that'd make Walter feel better, but as he looked at his boyfriend, no words came to him. So, he simply continued to be there for Walter, and listened to his boyfriend vent.

Except Walter was pretty much out of words. He shoved the emotions ruthlessly down. He'd deal with them later. Later.

"I'm going to go cut things up tomorrow. Maybe the junkyard."

"You mind if I join you? Or do you want to be alone?"

He was trying hard to be a loving, supportive boyfriend, and he thought he was doing an okay job at it. Except, y'know, the part where he felt completely and totally useless. But maybe that wasn't true, he thought. After all, what would he be doing right now if he'd just seen Magneto and his cronies? Probably being upset, like Walter. Except where Victor cried, Walter brooded, so, really, there was probably only one thing to do at the moment. he laid down beside Walter and wrapped his arms around hia boyfriend, holding him to let him know that despite Walter's frustrations, he still had Victor.

Walter rolled onto his side and pulled Victor's arms tighter. "Don't feel bad, but I think we'll both be better off if I go alone." He had some rage to work off, and that was a rather private thing.

If he wanted to be honest with himself, he thought he might frighten Victor and he didn't want to do that.

"Yeah, sure. Work off your anger, and when you're done I'll be right here for you, okay?" He held Walter tight and kissed him gently on the neck. "I wish there was more I could do, but I want you to feel better, even if I have to stay out of things for that to happen."

[walter_n_wires]

"Thanks. I just need to work this out on my own. I'm not looking forward to seeing Alfred again, either. He's the one who kept me from starting trouble tonight."

Victor remembered The Ruler and cringed a little. "Um...I know this is a big, stressful thing for you, so you wanna do something to help keep your mind off of it? Maybe watch a movie?"
