Room 335 - Sunday Afternoon

Feb 19, 2006 11:22

It was the weekend, and Victor was bored. And what does any bored almost-fifteen-year-old do when he's bored? Jump on the bed in nothing but his boxer briefs playing air guitar to Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle". Oh yeah!

Too bad he didn't close the door all the way. Oops...

[ooc: Feel free to stop by, or just stand outside and laugh. Whatever.]

Thus, now would be the time for Walter to peek through the cracked door and snicker.

Heaven forfend he interrupt, though.

After waiting for the song to finish, he pushed the door open and stepped inside. "They're showing curling on the telly! Curling."

"Wha?"

Victor stopped bouncing and looked at Walter. There was a good chance that he would've been embarrassed had it been someone else, but this was Walter. He was half-tempted to ask his boyfriend to join him.

"What's curling?"

"A sport I never expected to see on television. Crazy Scots invented it a few hundred years ago - sliding stones on ice and brushing the ice with brooms to make them bump into each other."

He hopped up on the bed and bounced experimentally. "Is this what you're doing instead of going to the gym today?"

"Really? That sounds like fun. We should do that sometime before it gets too warm."

He leaned in and gave Walter a kiss. "Yeah, I figured I'd do this for a while. I didn't know the door was open, though." He looked down at himself, then back up at Walter and grinned. "Not that I really have anything to be ashamed of." He bounced again. "You know, I bought us some cricket bats about a month ago and never asked you to teach me how to play. Is it a fun game?"

"Cricket's alright; football's better," Walter said, bouncing up when Victor came down and grinning at Victor's state of undress. He turned and hooked a wire on the doorknob to pull the door the rest of the way closed.

"I haven't really played team sports. I always had too much of an advantage to make them any fun, but I bet we could find enough people here to change that."

"Probably. I mean, back at Xavier's we sometimes had "no powers" tournaments, but those were kind of tricky, especially when you can't shut a power off. I mean, I can't help being really agile, just like you can't help being really quick. I'd hate to chase after any ball Pippi hits, though," he added with a grimace.

"I'd hate to get hit by any ball Pippi hits." He was having a bit too much fun bouncing on Victor's bed and wondered how much it would take to break it.

"Speaking of Pippi, she has a business plan she's trying to work out with Alfred of all people. She wants to run cruises around the island."

"Makes sense. She like sailing, and he's a business kind of guy. Oh, and speaking of Alfred, I went to go see him this morning. I thanked him for some of the stuff he's been doing, and he gave me an omlette. It was really good."

[ooc: Okay, food o'clock. See you in a few hours.]

Walter bounced down into a sitting position. "I'm sure Alfred was pleased by your consideration." Walter was pleased as well. He would never ask Victor to do it, but just confirmed his high opinion of his boyfriend.

[ooc: Enjoy. See you later.]

Victor bounced down, too, and put a pillow on his lap to rest his elbows on. "Yeah, he seemd...I dunno, surprised. Maybe he was just being nice, though. I gave his a box of Heath bars 'cause I didn't know what to get him, and I figured English toffee would be okay. Speaking of English stuff, did you read in the paper that we're supposed to have a trip to England sometime soon?"

[ooc: Glen wasn't home, so I came back a while ago. He was running an errand that ran too long, so I'll just come over tomorrow. I've been messing around in PS cropping the pics I want for my icons, so I can interact tonight on a much better schedule.]

Walter smiled happily and nodded. "I did! Are you goiing to be able to go? I'm excited to see what London looks like today. Tell me you're going to be able to go?"

"I hope I can go! I've never been to England, and I don't want to go without you." Then he remembered something and made a face. "Then again, you might make me try black pudding. Blech."

"Damn. That week has been up for a while, hasn't it? I'm not going to make you eat black pudding, or tripe, but beware or some mad Scot might come along and try to make you eat haggis and then the world will end!"

Walter pulled a face and poked Victor in what he was fairly sure was a ticklish spot.

Victor giggled as Walter poked him, and slapped his hand away playfully. "Hey, no poking the half-naked boyfriend! I don't want to be resonsible for what happens."

Walter poked him again and tried to leer without snickering. "I think we've been so busy lately, I forgot to tell you that I have Sundays off now. Alfred decided to close the restaurant on Sundays."
