Outside Room 213 - Monday Morning

Mar 27, 2006 06:30

Victor had been up late last night, trying to figure out what he was going to do about his problem with Rory. When his mind had wandered to how an X-Men would handle it, though, he had gotten an idea. In his Leadership class, they had had a lecture on conflict resolution, and he had figured that maybe it was time to apply what he had learned.

So, after an hour of letter-writing and some research in the student directory, he stood in front of Rory's door with an envelope and a cd case, both of which he slipped under her door. In the case was footage from the teal deer benefit brunch the day before. The envelope, though, held something very different.

Rory-

This needs to stop.

I’m sure you heard the radio broadcast, and you’ve probably talked with Anakin already, so you might already think you know what I’m going to say. But please hear me out, okay?

I don’t appreciate the way you’ve been treating me. I admit that it was wrong of me to try and get back at that Watcher for yanking my camera, but it was equally wrong of you to snap at me for it. Have you ever had someone just take something from you without asking permission? Doesn’t that make you upset? Well, it made me upset, especially when I was just trying to help Angel out.

And then yesterday, at the brunch, you were really rude to me, despite the fact that I not only donated $10 to the fund, but also my time and money to create a DVD to help you and your friends out with future fundraising. I know we all come from different worlds, but in my world, that’s an insult. It didn’t help when your friend Anakin approached me and treated me like I was an idiot, even though we’d never met before. And from what I understand, it was on your behalf.

The last thing I wanted when I came to this school was a petty fight with someone who I barely know and who barely knows me, so I’m stopping it from my end. I’ve called you “bitch” and “Whorey” in the past, but as of today, that stops. You’ll hear nothing from me or about me saying anything like that again. I hope that you’ll return the favor, but I don’t expect it. Whatever you do, though, at least you know that I won’t fight back. I’m tired of bullshit, Rory. I hope you are, too.

Signed,

Victor Borkowski

As Victor walked away, he hoped that he wasn't somehow making the situation worse.
