The Maple Syrup Mistake and a Dirty Song

Jan 12, 2009 22:13

I accidentally spent twenty bucks on a pint of maple syrup. I wanted the good stuff--the quality, pure maple syrup. I didn't look at the price tag when I pulled it off the top shelf at the grocery store. I thought the total for my groceries was a bit high, but assumed I must have miscalculated something. When I got home I saw the $19.99 on my receipt. Ouch. I almost took it back, but didn't want to look like a fool returning maple syrup because I wasn't smart enough to check the price before I bought it. It's good, though. Very tasty. Just not twenty bucks tasty.

I think I posted this quite some time ago, but I came across The Ugly Americans' song "Boom Boom Baby" while perusing my CD collection last night. I've searched for the uncensored version of the song on the internet before, but had no luck. I think most sites would take it down for TOS violations because it is very, very explicit. However, I love it, so I'm going to post it again. The download link is below. It's most definitely not work safe in any work environment, unless you work for a porn company. It's actually so dirty, it puts most of those rap songs to shame. "I'd be a rich motherfucker if I only had a dollar for every time I made you come until you hollered."

It also doesn't hurt that Bob Schneider (the man who write and sings the song) is very easy on the eyes. Beyond that, he's a masterful musician and singer with an amazing solo career. And, he is an artist.

Work is going to suck tomorrow. I know it. Government paperwork. I already have a headache just thinking about it.
