I decided to take Friday off work so I can curl up on the sofa and watch some of my favorite 'shippy episodes of The X-Files. The forecast says to expect rain and snow, which suits me just fine since I'll be inside with some sort of hot beverage and a quilt. I tried to talk Jason into playing hooky with me, but he's swamped with work and can't take the time off.
We're going to a puppet show tomorrow night at
q-Staff Theatre. Jason's friend Jim and Jim's girlfriend are coming with us; we've already made the reservations. The performance is
Autumn Portraits, and it looks very interesting. Jim wants us to follow the puppet show up with a concert at
The Launchpad, but neither of us are familiar with the bands. Jason and I are just terribly picky when it comes to shows nowadays. It's got to be one of my most favorite of bands to get my ass into a sticky-icky-gross bar.
I'm beat and was going to go to bed early tonight, but I can't seem to actually do it. Instead, I watched some gag reels from early seasons of The X-Files. The one I embedded below is a hoot. I nearly fell in the floor at the 3:30 mark. There is some serious Mulder/Skinner action involving Skinner bent over a desk and some thrusting from Mulder. If that isn't enough of a tease to get you to watch it, I don't know what is...
