House last night was unbelievably amazing and happymaking and just about made my life. Without further delay:
I really could care less about the medical case and the ducklings and whatnot but Kutner was very, very cute. Can we keep focusing on him please? And I find it interesting that we seem to do every religion in the teasers when it comes to Doris Egan and big H/W episodes. First Christianity in House vs. God, then Jewish in Don't Ever Change and now Buddha. What's next? (oh pleeease let their be a next time). It was nice in a nostalgic kind of way to see the old team back together again after rewatching S2. I *thought* something might have been due to the one child act so that was cool.
I love how Cuddy drugs House to get him driving with Wilson! So perfect. And having him bend over (there was a lot of that in this episode!) was a wonderful parallel to Who's Your Daddy which I just saw yesterday. I love House's smile when he sees Wilson! So cute. Wilson's not caring is so not fooling him (or me).
"I knew you loved me too much" EEEEEEEEEEEE yes! Is this the first time that House has mentioned Wilson's love for him and vice versa? Gah I just love the way he said this, all self satisfied and happy that Wilson loves him and oh god they are so in loooove.
I love how completely Wilson knows House and is prepared for him. He's a vicodin dispenser! But he'll never be prepared for House messing with him. Always fun and cute. Loved Mmm Bop for the team and Dancing Queen for Wilson, hee. Join me on the dark side! Gah so hot watching them look at each other bending over the car. The slash writes itself! Disappointing we didn't get actual flashbacks but first words and the story of how they met. AND THEY HAVE A SONG! I may be plaing Leave a Tender Moment Alone on repeat all last night and today. And the words totally fit House, never being able to be serious in a caring moment. So totally chosen for a reason and once more SO IN LOVE. Also I love how they both remember it so well. I love how when they met it was Wilson who was the needy one and House saved him. "Had to have someone to drink with" Awww that's so sweet, foundation or not. "You were the one I thought wasn't boring. That says something" Awwww again, they're so cute!
I love Wilson knowing the speech is not going to do well, knowing more than his mother. And I just love how they sit together and talk during the funeral. I do have to agree with House about the test of a man is how he treats his subordinates but awww Wilson's sad look at him just kills me. I'm glad he changed his mind after looking at the two people who care most about him. And I love how House could see that work was always most important for him just like his dad, putting aside the personal relationship like he had with Wilson or even say in Failure to Communicate when he put ahead his work over Stacy. And then House just killed me with the broken voice whether it was fake or not. I love Wilson comforting House with TOUCHING. Glorious, glorious touching. Not as good as a hug but I'll take it. And I love how they walk out together.
Then we get the AMAZING confrontation where House is totally right and House is the most important thing in Wilson's life and he's scared to lose him. I love also how Amber wasn't a marriage, Wilson expects his marriages to fall apart just like he expects his cancer patients to (possibly) die but because she was just a girlfriend, he wasn't prepared for any breakup, death or unrelated. Also he mentioned he dumped House, romantic relationship much? House just looked so predatory when he started the admit it rant, too sexy. And seriously, basically he's saying admit you love me too much, love me the most and couldn't bear to lose me. Gah SO IN LOVE. And I love how that scene creshendos because you have no idea what Wilson's going to do and gahhh House was so close that I thought he might kiss him but the bottle thing was priceless. And I love the bottle crashing through the windows. So beautifully circular with their first meeting.
I love House's smile in trying to get Wilson to say that it's fun. I was hoping for the iconic moment to happen during the H/W reunion scene but the bottle thing was still cool and I loved their last scene so oh well. Not as much in your face emotion but that's how it is with H/W, their love can is a comfortable sort. So sad that it doesn't make a difference who House's biological father is (and nice tie in to the patient). Awww Wilson's face when he realizes he can't choose who his friends are. The shine of his neediness quote was so perfect! Hee and I love how Wilson smiles at it. So glad they're back together and I love how House comes to grips with his dad's death and tells Wilson that in a serious moment. And then Wilson shuts out the light while House waits for him to walk off into the sunset together. Awww. And if I needed more reasons to grovel at Doris's feet, she says:
We wanted to set it up a little bit like one of those romantic comedies like It Happened One Night, where two people are thrown together in a road trip and no matter how inconvenient and annoying it was, they sort of realize that they should be together.”
Did you hear that? HOUSE AND WILSON SHOULD BE TOGETHER! Meant to be, baby, meant to be *hearts them*
So yeah, new favorite episode and it made me very, very happy and romantic. I was slow dancing all night to their song and knowing that nothing can tear them apart and I love them very, very much. That episode IS what TV's all about for me, the crazy excitement and flailing and jumping up and down and general ecstaticness.
Quick thoughts on Mad Men:
HOLY SHIT. Kurt outing himself was amazing and totally unexpected. I mean, I thought he might be gay but in this kind of environment it was just so shocking to see him tell everyone that he was "homosexual" and makes love to men. Wow. That definitely takes courage but it just shows how comfortable he is with himself. What killed me though was Sal's reaction. God, I felt horrible for him. He was so shocked at first and it's like his whole secret is on display and yet he has to hear their reactions as if it's him without them knowing. I just...wow. The acting there was amazing, so many emotions were there.
And then Don calling someone using the name Dick Whitman! Whoa, who can it be? Can't wait til next episode especially with the big takeover. Gah I love this show.
My birthday was wonderful! I got my House/Wilson TV Guide to much happiness and it made me giddy and now happy whenever I look at it. Had a great time with friends and had a fun time playing Apples and Apples. And ordered a drink and didn't even get carded which was nice. All in all, a wonderful day. Still don't have my computer and have probably like twenty episodes to catch up on but I'm doing the best I can.
