Vividcon OMG!

Why do every year I come up with a list of things to do before Vividcon and then the week before it, I stop caring about the list and just want to have fun at VVC? Argh it's happening again. I reeeeally need this vacation to happen right now and I'm so sick of all the stuff I need to do before it. All I can think of is the vids and the people and ( Read more... )

I thought it would be badly written and cliche like fellow ABC Fam shows Make It or Break It (which I really wanted to like but couldn't get past the bad dialogue) and Pretty Little Liars but I really love it a lot and even though the writing isn't the best or anything, the characters are.Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by Huge, too. There are moments where I'm reminded that it's very much an ABC Family show, but overall the characters have more layers than I'd expected ( ... )

Seriously, I am STILL amazed at all the cool things they're doing. And I totally agree and it just proves you don't need to be skinny to be lovable, fully layered, interesting and shippable. I am really dying to vid it which I never thought possible. I can't decide if I'm going to do a Will/Becca or ensemble vid though, probably both at some point.

I didn't like the second ep either -- but I only saw 3/4 of it, since I ff through all the Glen scenes. I don't care what his plotline is. I don't like the character and I don't like how Weiner uses Sally.

But oh, Don! Where's Anna? Is he too ashamed to reach out to her? It's interesting to see his dependence on women underlined here, and how quickly his male friendships evaporated. I guess we're all waiting to see what or who pulls him out of this downward spiral.

My fantasy plot has Lee Garner Sr. sending his loathsome son into exile and Roger pulling Sal back in. Or Lucky Strike stomping out, leaving them in trouble, and Sal re-emerging anyway. I do believe Weiner's going to bring him back one way or another.

I think your Anna question is answered ;) I'm definitely interested in seeing where Don is going and it breaks my heart at the same time I'm pissed off at him for what he's doing which is Don in a nutshell.

OH FUCK YES!!! I don't trust Weiner but he better be back by Stonewall is all I can say.

Was Weiner aware of Don's lack of male companionship, in giving us the (wonderful) evening out with Lane? I'm trying to remember other scenes with Don socializing with men without Betty or it being a business meeting -- with Roger, that time with Sal, and...? He talked briefly to Harry, when he was thinking about the Kodak campaign. When we first meet him, he's drinking and thinking alone. We never saw him socializing with the neighbors beyond parties set up by Betty. I guess his womanizing didn't leave him time for anyone else.
