Friday update, schmoop!
Friday update, whee!
Um, I've been delinquent with them. But no more! Am determined to return to normal discipline of--something. If it can't be "job-having," at least it can be Friday-updating.
Oh what what what have I been doing this week:
Tea units: 46? 302? must keep better track, idk
Pastry/chocolate units: 6.5
Procrastination methods: Icons. Reading about various instances of internet wank.
Instances of moderate un-failiness:
1. Went to 3 design seminars. Um, .4 CEU credits! And revived flagging enthusiasm somewhat. One speaker was a kitchen designer from San Diego who shared that 80% of the kitchens she does now do not have microwaves. *audience makes shocked noises* ♥ kitchen designer!
2. Worked on latest commissioned project. Calculated that appliqued decoration will require ~170 leaves. Made 90 leaves while watching TOS episodes "The Galileo Seven" (oh, Spock! ♥), "The Squire of Gothos" (ugh), and 1/2 of "Arena." Only 80 more to go. Oof.
3. Managed to purchase gifts for niece's birthday >24 hours before her party. Non-procrastination yay!
This week's victories over the forces of creative entropy:
a. Finished drawing of lymanalpha's internet boyfriend Zombie Pike. In time for her birthday, a Flag Day miracle!
b. Writing: Um. Progress on Sarek story undermined by all of the above. About 200 words tinkered with today. I very very much want to finish this story, and then I've decided my next WIP will be the Spock Epic. I also have Spock Prime/Gaila on the burner since forever but I realized I severely miss young Spock and want to write from his pov again for a while.
c. Also, I went and signed up for schmoop bingo. I was drawn to kink bingo and hurt/comfort bingo, but they didn't quite suit me. While schmoop bingo, like the others, has a certain percentage of prompts that seem unlikely ("magnet poetry"?), overall it seems like something I can do.
(Of course it's extremely possible, even likely, that my schmoop will involve kink and hurt/comfort. Still. SCHMOOP!)
