Many thanks to
rubynye for tagging me to do this meme. ICONS! ♥
Um, *contains enthusiasm, barely*, here are the instructions if you'd like to join in:
1. Reply to this post, and I will pick six of your icons. [it may not be instant but I'll do it!]
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee.
ICONS OF MINE, TALKING ABOUT THEM:
This is the first Gaila icon I saved, and although other trek icons have come and gone this one stays. I love the words--that mixture of tender and forward captures Gaila's character for me.
Hee! I love snarky Spock icons. I use this one rarely, but I think the words a lot. We should all have two inner Spock voices: a serene and logical one for when we have problems, and this one. Energize, bitches!
Books! I don't post nearly enough about books, so this one appears mainly in comments on other people's journals. I'm passionate about matched sets of things, which is why I gravitated toward this over all others. The design aesthetic of these books, yum.
I made this one! A pink blancmange, which inspired a Spock Prime/Gaila story,
Quiver. This icon is indelibly associated with SP/G in my mind, though I also use it for MMMCAKE kinds of posts. MMMCAKE!
Klimt girl! Actual name: Mada Primavesi. I love her posture, her slightly defiant look. In person this painting is incredibly vivid, like a living presence. Klimt really killed with this one, is what I mean. :) Also, she makes me think of Gaila for some reason. I make tons of
art icons--I wish I could use them all.
Heeeeeee! *dies* What can I say about this one?
taraljc gifted me with Spock Prime and Gaila dolls, and the next I knew
they were posing and making out. I have two icons from this photoshoot and I can't part with either one. ♥
