Thank you so much! I love Amanda and Sarek, though I've never written before. igrockspock's ficlet really inspired me. And I've been writing Spock Prime/Gaila for a couple of weeks, which has my brain kind of steeped in the nuances of Vulcan intimacy. It's just a big stew of Vulcans getting sexed up in my head, apparently! :D

Oh, thank you so much! I had such a wonderful time thinking about the two of them--and this was refreshingly fast to write, which is a nice change from my usual epic efforts. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Your comments mean so much to me--thank you! It's funny you should say "telepathic" because I do feel like this story grew out of something that was accruing around that Mary Oliver prompt, like a collective energy of different minds turning it over. Sarek and Amanda are new characters for me but the process of writing Spock/Uhura and lately Spock Prime/Gaila put my mind in this place of tenderness--and then igrockspock's piece just put a match to it and FOOF!

I'm reeling from the fact that I Got My Words Out in the course of a day. That doesn't happen to me! I'm an agonizer!
