This contribution to the where_no_woman drabblefest by igrockspock has turned my heart inside out. Do go read it, it's short and beautiful!

the soft animal of your body - Amanda/Sarek. From prompt # 21:

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.

...which is from a poem by Mary Oliver, btw

I had other things to babble about today but now I'm dead, instead. I died happy, though.

FOOTNOTE: I will die even happier if while you're there, you read and enjoy all the great contributions, because there are many other fantastic stories! This one just happened to strike the fatal chord tonight. Oh Sarek and Amanda, how could I possibly love you more?

MiFu update, January day 8:
Tea units: 3 black w/goat milk and honey, 1 lemon balm & peppermint
Deliciousness units: I have cinnamon white chocolate from illariy and tonight my upstairs neighbor dropped off half a batch of peanut butter fudge. ("I'm gaining too much weight," he said. "I need you need to eat this." Okay, then!)
Procrastination methods: Spent 3 hours getting a new remote key for my car. Also contemplated macros. Have never made one. Am feeling humor-impaired.

Actual writing: I AM FINALLY PAST THE OPENING SCENE OF THE SPOCK PRIME/GAILA WIP. After this it's all fun and games. Hah. I do feel like I'm over a big obstacle, though.
