Procrastination methods: I did some organizing in iTunes, WHAT'S THAT ABOUT?
(Yes I am repurposing my WriSoMiFu update as a personal post again! I'm finding my goal of daily posting is slightly at odds with my desire to work on my CURRENT EPIC FIC OF EPICNESS.)
Obligatory fancy links and whatnot:
I'm on a free music binge, apparently. Did you know there's tons of it on Amazon? Sometimes it's one song from an album but often there are samplers from record labels. That's how I found Barsuk Records--their 2009 sampler was great! Some samplers let you download individual tracks, while some make you take the whole album. I just cull the tracks I don't want in iTunes once I've had a chance to listen to them.
A couple of samplers I found today. When I was supposed to be writing, ahem:
Ryko: Flash of Light Sampler FOOTNOTE: Rykodisc records a lot of folk/rock acts, including Thea Gilmore, who's one of my favorites. I chose this sampler because she has a song on it, but there are some other good ones. I like the Nickel Eye and Matt Duke tracks especially.
Anti Sampler Fall 2009 FOOTNOTE: This sampler has songs from Neko Case and The Swell Season, and you can download the songs individually. Fun and convenient!
