A jaunt onto Wikipedia reveals that it looks like something I'd like. :V Adding it to the list of games I want for when I've...finished some of the ones I have.

I enjoyed Lost Odyssey (Jansen! ♥), even though I firmly believe that RPGs should have moved beyond fight-woosh random battle systems by now.

I think I actually enjoyed it more than FFXIII, but there are things in FFXIII that I'm sure you will like. The playable characters are all pretty awesome, although some of them take a while to show it.
