It's snowing outside; it's coming down thick and fast.

Earlier, Cordelia was perched in the big bay window at the back of the house, staring raptly at the snow, twisting her head back and forth to follow it. Sometimes she'd race back and forth along the window. Every so often, she would jump! to try to catch one, only to be thwarted by the glass ( Read more... )

I love cats & snow♥ Seriously, best combination!

I'm looking forward to reading your rant, by the way. I've seen a small portion of the bit you're talking about, and I'm interested to hear your opinion on it (especially since I haven't seen enough to form my own).

The funny thing is that if we try to take them outside to actually see it, they flee back inside in terror.

But, well. Cordelia loves chasing packing peanuts around...maybe she thinks the snow is Where Packing Peanuts Come From.

I'll probably write up the rant after finishing the relevant character's dungeon.

I saw what you said about this on the Houseboat. PUNCH. Also legitimate queer transgendered characters are as underrepresented in fiction as any other intersection of minorities that are themselves either underrepresented or hugely underrepresented and also terrifying, and if they weren't DOING IT WRONG the pairing would be totally awesome.

(Also aww, agawa_jean has a Garak/Bashir icon. They are so cute.)

Yeah, I knew that the character in question was Secretly A Girl (even before I got spoiled, I thought it was obvious from her voice). I thought that this meant she was being forced to present male for professional reasons, and her arc would be about her learning to break free of that. But no, they're going in exactly the wrong direction and--I'm not going to get into detail here because I said in the cut above that there weren't really spoilers here, but rest assured, when I finish her dungeon, I will rant in the Houseboat again.

It's extra sad because I want to like both characters--they're rather endearing--but then they have to pull this crap.

(I don't know why I don't have a Garak/Bashir icon. I need to fix that.)
