I. I'm four minutes into "The Western Air Temple," and I can't resist posting--how did I forget how good this show was during my breaks from it? How beautifully it handled story-telling in general? I may have to get the DVDs and rewatch the whole damn thing. Despite all the other things I want to watch

III. No, I ship it too. Because Shinbashi had such respect for Kureha and her feelings; he wasn't trying to help her in an attempt to bone her, he genuinely wanted her to be happy with Mashiro. He recognised her issues with men and never pushed it, aejklw I normally don't ship this kind of pairing either but Shinbashi was a genuinely respectful and loving character that it's hard not to.
IV. I love the Old Kingdom trilogy, so I'm biased, but I would recommend it. Lirael really annoyed me at first, but the more I read of it the more I got to like it, and by the time I finished Abhorsen I was completely in love with the series. It's not perfect by any means, and there are plenty of weaknesses, but some of the characters and relationships are so lovable and endearing that it's difficult not to enjoy it.

III. Bawww Shinbashi's feelings for her were probably the most genuine romantic feelings I've run across in the manga so far. I adored that he seemed to recognize aspects of her personality even from afar, and love them; he thought she was cute, but he also understood her intuitively and truly liked everything about her, even the stuff that most people would consider weird or off-putting. And I have this great image of him as her submissive boyfriend-chan who totally adores her and supports her while she works through her issues, often using super kinky sex to do so. 8)
And I am so pwned by his dream form. I wondered at first why it was a cellphone wtf, but then I realized that it was because his cellphone was the way he got closest to Kureha and helped her the most. OTP.
IV. What little of Sabriel I do recall mostly centers around the characters being really interesting, so...! I am kind of looking forward to getting back into it.
