I was going to bitch and whine about how my day sucked...
...but afterwards, we finally went to see Casino Royale, and I'm so in love. Okay, so the pacing needed work, and the memorability of the villains was sacrificed for the sake of plot twists, but oh my god, Daniel Craig! He's seriously enthralling. I can also forgive the Bond movies' usual lack of actual spy stuff in this one because it had the emotional spystuff that turns me on.
I really love this trend lately (well, maybe not so much a trend. The only other movie that I can think of that did it was Batman Begins) of taking an old franchise and breathing life into it by spending an entire movie lovingly setting up the character behind the series.
