I rediscovered an old fic that I'd once seen on AFF.net where Sasuke is a horrible, abusive husband and Sakura runs into Naruto's arms and acknowledges how much she wuvs him. Of course, he's been there for her, suffering in silence, the whole time.

I'm really :| about Sasuke hitting Sakura, because while he's shown to be fairly casual about violence against other people (especially Naruto), he goes out of his way to avoid physically harming Sakura. He'll hit her if he feels he has to, but even then he'll go out of his way to avoid actually hurting her.

She'll totally use this to her advantage, too.

Thing is, current canon - Sasuke is not evil. Sasuke is broken, Sasuke is running away from the things he needs because he fears what they mean to him.

Sasuke hitting Sakura doesn't make sense, since one thing really consisitant in their relationship is how he goes out of his way to be gentle with her.

And, yeah, Sakura will probably hit him, but he'll only try and knock her out so he can fight Naruto. This'll give Sakura and Naruto an advantage.

Look, I am in NO WAY excusing Sasuke for trying to kill Naruto. That was wrong. But Naruto was hardly an innocent angel, either. Soon as Sasuke woke up, Naruto taunted Sasuke was willing to use his own most powerful move against Sasuke
