Zach sat in a chair next to the bed watching Luna. It's where he'd spent much of the day and the night before since she'd come back. He thought he should have been getting used to this, the women he loved being stolen but he resolved once more to never let this happen again.
When he'd brought Luna back, he and Tracey had checked her over before she'd bathed, then eaten and gone to bed. She hadn't been out of the bed much since then and he and Tracey had taken turns watching over her. Zach had a hard time sleeping because of it all and as he sat there, he realized that he had so much more he wanted to do to make their home safe. There were new wards he wanted to try and intruder alert spells that were experimental yet. But he'd do anything for them, so he'd give them all a try.
He was exhausted but extremely satisfied. Luna did look good given her captivity and the baby seemed to be doing well too. They needed to go to the Healer and see about the bump but Luna had assured him that it was fine. Still, Tracey had set an appointment for next week and he felt good about that. Zach settled down into the chair and closed his eyes as he wondered if they'd ever truly be safe.
