Summary: the time has come for Marietta to leave Annwn...for now.
"I could get used to this, you know," mused the auror as she walked along the path, twirling a leaf between her slender fingers. "These evenings walks, I mean." She was dressed in the clothes she had arrived in, and considering that she had brought very little else, she figured that she could spend her last evening in this town simply walking with Cedric until the two of them reached its borders. She had been here for nearly three days now, although it seemed much shorter than that, and as much as she had been enjoying herself in this quaint little town, Marietta knew she had a few things to settle back in London.
"You really don't get to see this sort of thing in London, by far," she continued cheerfully, all the while trying her hardest not to appear distracted, for many thoughts were flitting through her mind at that moment. Why can't things be simpler in nature? For such a simple-looking town, Annwn had managed to put Marietta in quite a state of emotional and mental unrest during the entirety of her stay. Just when she thought she was ready to settle down in London and spend the rest of her life working as an auror, Marietta had come to the realisation that she has now arrived at another crossroad in her life. Should she go back to her home and leave Annwn as nothing more but a pleasant memory? Or should she take a chance at what could be a life she has always wanted?
She stopped where she was and waited for Cedric, turning around to look at him inquisitively. "So who is the leader of this town, Cedric? Since it's isolated from everywhere else, what keeps this town going along day in, day out? Is it Dumbledore?"
