Summary: James goes over to Sirius' to see what the insanity was about, and meets Parvati for the first time.

It was early still; okay, not really early, but James didn't have to be at work until noon, considering he'd be staying a bit late. That seemed to be a good arrangement, considering he had to drop by Sirius' and see what the hell was going on that amounted to really, really bad insanity. There'd been a time when James would have known about the insanity the moment it started.
And honestly, what made Sirius think James wouldn't be nice to Parvati? Maybe he didn't agree with Sirius being with a girl Harry's age, but nothing he said would make Sirius stop if it was really what Padfoot wanted. And if it was what Padfoot wanted, then who was James to say otherwise? Especially if it actually made Sirius happy. And the girl was an adult. A young adult, but still an adult.
She'd be there, so James knew he had to be on his best behavior, whatever that meant.
When he got to Sirius' place, he knocked on the door politely.
