"This place always seemed so much bigger in my memory," Penelope said softly as she looked around the parlour of Grimmauld Place. She and Regulus had conjured up the house in order to see if there were any documents of their betrothal from back before his death. The last time Penelope had seem the Black estate, was when she was no older than four. There were certain colours she could recall: The deep wine of the carpet in the parlour where she had once been scolded for having dropped some ice cream that she had been eating, the mahogany of the banister leading towards the upstairs, and the empty spot near the window where a large Christmas tree should have been since her main memory of the house took place at Christmas.
Penelope looked at the family tree. It was a marvelous tapestry, though, the burn marks were a pity as their ruined the ambience of the piece. For a moment, she imagined how it would look if Regulus had lived: Her name beside his, both with birth dates, but no death dates.
She smiled at Regulus. It could not have been easy for him being back home after all these years.
"Are you alright?"
Then she noticed the portrait of Walburga Black above her. She nodded to the portrait.
"Good evening."
