Barty remembered why he often had such problems with Regulus Black; the other man only cared about others when he felt it would help him. Everyone loved Regulus. All through Hogwarts, people sang him praises, and he always seemed to one-up him. Even his death was probably better, since at least Regulus had a soul when he died. Now Regulus was engaged and living in a house that was not overrun with pheasants. Life was not fair.
He scuffled through the streets of Annwn, pouting, looking like a disgruntled little boy. He stepped into the Beedle Bar, ordered a scotch on the rocks, and sat down alone in a booth. Stupid Regulus; he wasn't alone.
