Regulus had to admit to being a little concerned about telling Parvati about his engagement to Penelope. And about telling everyone else, really.
What concerned him was how people were going to take the idea that he and Penny were engaged after only knowing each other for a very short period of time. He wasn't worried; already, he could tell his feelings for Penelope weren't a crush or a fleeting emotion. But others might think that they were rushing blindly into marriage without thinking of the consequences or the realities. That wasn't the case, but Regulus wasn't naive enough to think that other people would see it that way.
Going to Parvati's, with Penelope walking next to him, Regulus was a little less worried than he would be telling others. Parvati was his friend, and, well, if anyone would understand, she would. He was hoping that she would be happy for them, not worried that they were going about this the wrong way.
And he was excited; he had been dying to tell someone about this ever since the day in the daisy field.
Holding Penelope's hand in his as they approached Parvati's house, he turned to her and asked, "You ready?"
