marxist party
so i was invited to join in on marxist teachings & meetings on thursday nights... and since i heart mr marx, im going.. but im dragging dahveed with me because i dont know how intense these meetings will be, and as much as i want to show up with my "communist party" tshirt, i dont want to be initiated into the italian communist party. it seems kinda top secret as in the locale of the meeting place, and that excites me a bit too :) and the kid, andrea, who i met & talked to me about it seems very cool & down to earth & very nice on the phone. so the first one is tomorrow night & im looking forward to it... so is my fellow socialist david.
other than that, we were introduced to project DUE. ponte parodi (and the rest of the port of genova).. its part of a competition & we have to make it an urban public used space.. although we know nothing of program or anything in those regards.. yet he wants and i quote "diagramed plans, in depth axos, & crucial sections" by tomorrow at 4pm... yet he failed to consider we saw the site late in the day.. almost too late to sketch.. and domani we have italian, then wolfsonian... which is 40 min away. sooo, when will we have time to do these amazing, in depth drawings? i ask this of you? rice & beans is bipolar! as of now, i have yet to start the drawings or the reading thats due for tomorrow.. he asks for the moon & then some at times. thankfully its our 3 day weekend fast approaching! im very happy to be going to palermo, as is my bello barone... he took the time to plan a bunch of stuff for us to do. and im very excited to ride around on the vespa :) i think i might be falling fast for this one... but i dont know.. i dont want to fall too fast or too hard.... but i do want to enjoy the moment & not live with regrets!
the housing situation is going... its still tense. and i know this weekend is much needed for everyone. hopefully next week will be better after we all get some time away from each other? i wish some people could learn what personal time is. i think that my friends is KEY.
erika please know you are missed & i hope you enjoyed hazelnut einstein coffee for me! ahh i miss it. that and panera broccoli & cheese soup.... mmmmmmm!
