Lovely.

Got a review that put a big grin on my face earlier:

Brilliant: I've waited with bated breath for an update to this! I can't help but love your quite unique portrayl of Rodolphus, even if he is a bit of a psychopath. Looking forward to seeing part three.
It was the psychopath part that made me grin, of course. I don't know what it says about me ( Read more... )

Awesome! Meaningful comments are love. And the reviewer was right, you know. Indoctrination is good stuff. :D

Aren't they? And so difficult to write too, IMO, so I'm always jumping of joy when I get one!

Thanks =P I won't be humble or coy enough to claim it's utter crap, because I don't in any way think it is (after 8 months spent on a sequel... of which most was cut, but shss). I do love it as a story though. And it - and the Andromeda/Yaxley stuff - has made me more and more convinced to try a novel-length of this, which is an insane and thrilling prospect.

I agree that meaningful comments can be dfficult to write. I'm currently trying to practice leaving them.

A novel-length Lestrange fic, you say?

Me too - and it's surprisingly difficult, even when one knows what one would like to hear.

Indeed... I am insane, especially with Germany coming up, but on the other hand I'll probably have less internet access and thus more time to write and not sit on Facebook... It would be something like the Slytherin Gang during the uptake to the FW - I've read fifty MWPP fics like that and always liked the concept and wanted to do one, but on the other side. Would probably be Andromeda POV if anyone's, because Bella or Rodolphus gives me a headache as first person - the emotional rage is so limited. But yes. I want to know how they lived before it all went to hell for most of them.

The Slytherin gang in the years leading up to the first war would be so much more interesting. I especially like the idea of it being from Andromeda' POV--you're right that she has a greater emotional range and perhaps a wider worldview, as well. You have to wonder how she felt; did she know she would eventually have to break away, or did something sudden happen that pushed her into that decision. And how did she feel about the rest of the gang? I would love to read your take on that!

Oh yes, there is so much there! And I really love my newfound Andy-fascination.
I'm currently working with that she definitely did not know she would leave - and even once she knew she would have to, she was terrified to do it. Have seen a bit too many Andromedas and Siriuses who just got up and left and hated everything before it (can see it with him, maybe, but her... hmm. Own theories!)

Would you want to skim through the Andy/Yaxley drabbles at some point? Not to beta them because it's not use doing that when most of them will end up in this Project o'Doom, but... I don't know, so someone else has seen them. Heh.

I'd love to read the drabbles, of course! It would be fun to read how your Andromeda is taking shape. Do you want any kind of comments, or would you just like to share them?

Yay (taking advantage, I am, but hey!) I might warn you of some pretentiousness in these - changing of tenses and POVs and 1st/2nd/3rd person (between the drabbles, not in the middle of them, thankfully). There's both Andy and Dareios characterisation in them (I like torturing him, the poor neurotic).

Comments... hmm. Well, if something jumps at you or comes to mind, don't hesitate to share ;) But mainly it is to see if this might ever go anywhere.
