Here's to old friends
Eva found me! She "friended" me on Facebook.
I am trying to recall the last time I saw her. I believe it was Boston, and I believe it was 1997. I saw her mother in 2002 or 2003, and she told me Eve was in Bahia Blanca, Argentina.
(What is funny is about 5 nights ago, I had a dream about typing these exact words on my blog and only realized that when I reread it just now. To be fair, I often have dreams about seeing long lost friends again. There is additional irony to why she and another old friend would be coming up in my dreams right now, but it's a long story.)
Anyway, Eden is named after Eva. It is important to me that they meet someday. When I was pregnant with Carson, I wanted to find some way to name him after Eric, but I couldn't figure out a way to do it that was as clever as what I figured out for Eve...yet somehow, and completely inadvertently, I succeeded.
Additionally, I am playing a Scrabulous game (based on Scrabble) online against 2 other high school friends that I have not seen, or really had any communication with, since graduation day the better part of two decades ago. One lives in Gainsville, FL (don't worry, I'm still a g8r h8r) and the other lives in Evanston, IL - technically, the three of us still live in the towns where we went to college.
