Just rewatched The Return. You know something that bothers me so much? Jenna. Like, we all know her character has been sidelined horribly this season, god writers fix that shit please, but she saw Damon and "Elena" kissing on the porch. We see her suspicious look when Elena says she needs to talk to Damon at the Mayor's wake. What comes from that? A (small) talk down at the get together at Elena's? It doesn't at all strike me as the sort of thing season one Jenna would let slide. I really liked Jenna in season one, and I do still like her now but her characterisation this year has been really unfair. She's letting in vampires left and right, she's getting herself compelled, stabbing herself, *believing* she actually walked into a knife... she is a caricature of herself and I hate it. It makes me sad, guys. Where has the Jenna that told off Logan gone? The Jenna that was so determined to be a good parent/role model to Jeremy and Elena? Bring her back, dammit, writers.
Also if you could clue Matt into what's going on that'd be good too. He's been just as bad this season. :( My Matt. This is by no means an excuse to stop him being so clueless so Caroline will feel alright confiding in him and then they get back to being blonde and adorable and precious together no not at all. >.>
