Going to see Indy 4 in a few minutes. Should be awesome. Recap when I get back. <33
Edit: Recap under cut. CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE PLOT LINE, CHARACTERS, AND END OF THE MOVIE. The comments will also contain spoilers, I'm assuming.
I'm going to say before I cut that I DID like it. Okay? It was Indiana Jones, it would be impossible for me not to *love* it. That said...
ALIENS. WHAT THE HOLY FUCK? Okay, fine, "inter-dimensional beings". WHATEVER. You made Indiana Jones into a sci-fi film, George Lucas, and I both hate you and love you for it.
ANYWAY.
Shia LaBeouf! He was *so* good! Brilliant actor, that kid. And OMG YAY! Mutt (his character) is Indy's son! With Marion!! I squealed when she came out onto the screen, seriously squealed. And backstory! They were engaged! Until Indy ran away a month before the wedding, IDIOT. I don't think a very good explanation why was given, actually. *scratches head* He didn't know about Mutt though, so don't think he's a deadbeat dad or anything. They end up together at the end, yay!
HARRISON! *swoons* I adore Harrison Ford, honestly. He was perfect. Can't say anything else. Just perfect.
The storyline. Well. I won't go into too much detail, but there are Russians, searching for these "paranormal" crystal skulls. And that's not skulls carved out of crystals, that's these weird dead alien/inter-dimensional beings' skulls. Yeah. I was too busy hiding my face and exclaiming "They turned Indiana Jones into sci-fi" against my friends shoulder to get the entire plot down pat. AWESOME special effects though. Really brilliant. And it was funny! It was *so* funny.
Look, I loved it, alright? It was awesome and brilliant and I would go again and again. It just was a tiny bit *facepalm*-y at the same time, that's all.
