Comedy Post.
I have a cracked fingernail. And I never realised how much I touch my hair until today, because I caught a hair in the crack every freaking minute. UGH. It was very annoying.
Comedy makes me laugh. Like, you're totally surprised, right? No, I mean. It's just - I love it. Like, I love it. If I have a bad day, I can put on my Adam Hills CD, or my Danny Bhoy DVD, or I can look up some Ross Noble clips, or Arj Barker, or Wil Anderson, or Tripod, or David O'Doherty, or Stephen K. Amos, or Russell Howard, or Fiona O'Loughlin, or Kitty Flanigan, or Lee Mack, or god any of them, and all the days worries slip off my shoulders and fall away to nothing. Music can do that to a degree, yes, but I... I usually pay too much attention to music. I'm listening to the lyrics, or the vocals, or the guitars, or the drums, and I don't relax. Comedy though... you don't have to think, their job is to make you laugh, and god do they do it well.
My current obsession is Video On Trial. MY GOD THIS SHOW IS FUNNY. It's a group of various comedians, and they mock the shit out of music videos. (It's all in good fun, please don't get offended at any of the following videos, really. You should see some of the comments they get from the teenies.1) Like, Larger Than Life by The Backstreet Boys. Or Aaron's Party (Come Get It) by Aaron Carter. Or Shake Tramp by Marianas Trench. (You don't even have to know who the bands are to enjoy it!) Or Outta My Head by Ashlee Simpson. Or S Club Party by S Club 7.
But hey, how about something a little closer to home? Like Nine In The Afternoon by our good friends Panic at the Disco. Or Welcome To The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance. Or Church of Hot Addiction by Cobra Starship. Or Cupid's Chokehold by Gym Class Heroes. I think we all have to take a second and admit that our beloved boys (and girls) make some freaking weird videos. Really.
God, I could spend hours watching this show. I think it's Canadian? Go Canada, man, seriously.
1 Um. I might be exhibiting a teeny amount of hypocrisy here. They did do one to Thnks fr th Mmrs, that I didn't mention. But! They called Patrick fat! In like, the first five seconds! So I don't like it. :(
