LOGH
I haven't thought about the Legend of the Galactic Heroes in AGES-- it's an old, long, and epic show that I only ever had the time to watch and enjoy when I was unemployed. The only 2 people I have ever successfully pimped it to was (1) my brother, and (2) Jet, a Gundam Wing fanfic writer whose fanfics I adored.
Was googling the LOGH author to to find out when Del Rey was releasing the Sohryuden novels, when I came across LoGH amvs like this super SPOILERful amv that nails the post-Season 1 obsessive Reinhard, which boggled my mind since I still don't really know anyone who has watched this show in its entirety outside of its small fandom.
Seeing the video reminded me of one of the reasons I liked the show so much. You can see hints of it in the amv. The characters change, and as I'm changing too, I can really appreciate that. Reinhard (my favorite) as an adult with his long hair and constant pendant-clutching in the later seasons is very different from Reinhard the brat.
This show requires patience and a LOT of time, but if you ever find either of them, it's worth the watch. Proof: this EPIC review.
