lunch drabble

Feb 27, 2008 12:30

30 mins till lunch is over, so if its unedited, that's why.

Yokoyama didn't really think anything of it. Massu was cute when he was on the verge of tears, and so helpless, and really, it wasn't like he didn't laugh a little as well, so no harm done, right?

The next day was a photoshoot in Tokyo; K8 (minus Ryo, who was already there), got up at the crack of dawn and took the Shinkansen to Tokyo.

They met up with Ryo at the agency's headquarters. He didn't look too happy.

"Did you really have to do that?" he asked Yokoyama.

"Do what?"

"You were a complete jerk yesterday," Ryo told Yoko. He looked at Hina. "Why didn't you stop him?"

Both Hina and Yoko stared. It was unusual for Ryo to tell them when they had been misbehaving. Yoko knew that people said that Ryo was like a second boss in NewS, but he had yet to see that attitude in him in K8.

Ryo sighed. "I've never seen Pi so mad before. It was worse than when the newscaster mispronounced his name."

Yoko laughed. "I'm not afraid of him," he said, but he checked to make sure the hallways were clear anyway.

Jin and Nakamaru stopped by K8's dressing room after lunch.

"What you did was horrible," Jin said. Maru didn't say anything, but it was clear from his vigorous nods that he agreed.

"Pi and I were hanging out last night. He heard from his mom about it this morning. He's pissed."

"Why would I care if Yamapi is pissed or not?" Yokoyama challenged. He was getting tired of hearing Yamapi's name. Even if he had debuted earlier, Yamapi was younger than him, and they weren't juniors anymore. They didn't have to interact if they didn't want to.

Jin punched him in the arm. "It's rare for Yamapi to get mad. You're in for it."

Shige, Koyama, and Tegoshi turned up after their shoot. Ryo took one look at them, nodded in greeting, and walked away.

"Yokoyama-kun," Koyama said, looking upset. He stopped.

"You are such an id--" Shige began, but Tegoshi cut him off.

"Yoko, Yoko," Tegoshi said, and smiled, and he was so cute even if he had no right to call Yokoyama "Yoko". "Yoko, you need to apologize to Massu, okay? His mom called my mom. They're both upset about it." He added, as an after thought. "Yamashita-kun is too."

"I'll think about it," Yoko said lazily, but at this point he was so annoyed with everyone's reaction that he had no intention whatsoever of doing so.

He was getting a drink from the vending machine when Yamapi appeared behind him.

"Yo," Yamapi said.

It was a friendly enough greeting. Yokoyama nodded cautiously. Yamapi didn't look particularly angry-- in fact, his face was completely blank.

"Last night," Yamapi said, as he casually put yen into the vending machine next to Yokoyama's. His arm was well-muscled; Yokoyama remembered that he boxed.

"What of it?" Yokoyama asked, more defensive than he meant to.

Pi shrugged. "I didn't think you were funny." He took his drink and started to leave.

Yokoyama laughed nervously at his back. "What? That's it? That's all you're going to say?"

Yamapi turned and looked at him. He was not smiling. "Well there isn't much else to say, is there? This is just the way Yokoyama-kun is."

"Wh-what do you mean by that?"

"Picking on someone weaker than you, that's just your character right?" Pi shrugged. "It can't be helped if that's who you are. There are a lot of people like you. Next time Massu goes on Recommen, if he really wants to, someone from NewS will accompany him." He started to walk off. "See you."

Yokoyama stared after him.

"Massu, let's get gyouza," Yamapi said. "My treat."

Massu was delighted. "Okay!" he exclaimed, all smiles.

When they started to leave Massu phone beeped. It was a text message from Yokoyama and it only had one word, but it made Massu's smile brighter.
