GOD the fact that you can write such thoughtful essays in A SECOND language is AMAZING; I studied more than one language, but I can only write long things in English. (This is why your name means bright, right?)

And I think you're right! Kame is really insecure, sort of like Shuuji, and he puts up fronts because of it while Yamapi is insecure and uses that to drive him. It's a very positive, amazing mentality. And yes, I love that the other people in NewS is like that too. Like Koyama is an extremely positive thinker as well and they all work hard at working together. To me, it's sort of like each member of KAT-TUN sounds great when they sing by themselves, but when they try to sing together as a group the harmony is always slightly off. They either don't listen to each other or maybe they just don't practice singing together.

Whereas in NewS, it's sort of the opposite. Tegoshi, Massu, and Ryo can sound okay by themselves, and Pi, Shige, and Koyama not so much, but they really all sound best together. And there's the sense that NewS had this dramatic history together and they know it, but now they learned to work together and they're better for it. Like in this one Shonen Club episode (the theme was power, I think), Koyama and Nakamaru were asked what gave them power. Koyama says "the other members" and I'm not kidding, if you watch Nakamaru's face when he says it, Nakamaru furrows his eyebrows, like he's confused. Nakamaru's answer? Is breakfast.

There was another time in 2005, I think it's the christmas episode on Shonen club, where Nakamaru and Ueda are both leaders of these two competing teams. On Maru's team: Yamapi, Koyama, Tegoshi, I think. On Ueda's team: Jin, Kame, Junno. So as they compete against each other, Nakamaru's team confers together and they kick ass. While the KAT-U team loses horribly-- no one even talks to Junno during the game.

I think, it's because in real life I have very wonderful friends that I can relate to Koyama and Yamapi and think, yes, my life is better for these people that I know.

And YES. I love how smart NewS is. It's amazing. 4/6 members? So unheard of! And then of the remaining 2, one of them is in another band. They're just really good role models. I mean, yes a college education isn't everything, but I think going to school helps shape a kind of critical thinking that you don't get otherwise. NewS is the smart boyband, and for me, that's love.

My name? Uh, in Spanish my name doesn't mean anything (which frustrates me to no end!). I do understand some Japanese and German and I did try to learn French and Greek and failed miserably. I like English WAY better. I learn it because I HAD to. Most of my fandoms only exist in English speaking communities and webs. My favorite books have been written by English speaking writers, and a third of the music I listen is in English (the other third is Japanese and the rest is Spanish, Chinese, German and French. I do like languages ^^).

I would love to watch that Shounen Club episode and see Maru's face. Poor guy. How can he spend so much time working with Koyama and not go crazy with the "member ai"? 'cus I can picture Koyama trying to explain it further, and Maru's confused expression only gets worse! Though, breakfast IS important, but that's such a Massu response! Maybe they hang out too much together... And *Massu* explaining "member ai" can only be a lot more *weird*!

I don't know what my life would be without my friends. I also have different kinds and I tend to categorize them, so I can definitely understand Pi in that respect. The fact that both my parents are workaholics and love what they do even if it frustrates them two third of the time also helps me relate. That and that I was away from home for four months until march and the only thing that kept me going was working my ass off and feeling *great* about it.
