I need to not let things get to me.
If I have to hit 'reply all' one more time to rebut another lie about Barack Obama, I'm going to really, REALLY go off. Every time I do respond, sending everyone the facts, I get a few emails from people claiming to be sorry for sending the [lie] to the cousin, who "doesn't make them up, [he] just forward[s] them." I am about to tell my relatives that the easiest way to make sure he doesn't forward people offensive, inaccurate material is to refrain from sending it to him in the first place!
Goddamn, people! What I wouldn't give for the godd ol' days of incessant cute-kitten-and-puppy forwards and chain emails promising me a dollar for every person I send something on to.
