goodness
so my mom calls me today and tells me that i got my $5,000 florida elks scholarship again this year. yes! that makes me feel so much more comfortable financially about spain. well, i have another $2,400 in savings, whatever birthday money i get, and i'll make about $2,600 at camp this summer. so that's like $10,000. i only need about $300 of that for my plane ticket, but there's no way i can spend $9,700 in 3 1/2 months on food and travel alone. maybe i shouldn't touch my scholarship til spring.
geez i could have bought a brand new car with how much money this semester in spain is gonna cost me (i'm thinking it's gonna be around $20,000 total for the cost of the program, plus my spending money). oh well, i'd rather have this experience than a damn car. gas is expensive anyway.
i can't wait!
