The nice folks at Moleskine like to include a little something extra with each notebook. ("Each notebook and set of 3 journals contains 9 stamps or 9 labels or 1 postcard, for sending signals, exchanging messages, collecting ideas.") Which is fine. I mean, hey, free stickers. The problem is the designs tend to be soullessly irritating. These guys, f'rinstance, bear the legend WRITING, set like a doctor's eye chart. Every time they rise to the surface of the drawer, I want to hurt them.
Fortunately, if that's the word I want, I recently acquired a set of abusive rubber stamps, and was able to both tell the stickers exactly what I think of them, and construct some de-motivational art.
