I used to read Marie Claire when I was trying to brush up on my English. No kidding! I wanted short articles with modern, colloquial expressions, not school-book dialogues or business English.
And it worked. I just got fed up with the whole premise that women had to follow all those inane tips and guidelines to lead a vapid happy life and find their prince charming.
