It's funny you say that... This is definitely on my best scene ever list, but not with the ending point you give.

It's on my best scene ever list because he really is that angry, and then his reaction to Buffy crying at the end of the episode is just as real.

I agree completely. I left it out of this entry because this one was supposed to be about the scene only. The scene you're talking about is one of the things that makes the episode so great (did I mention I adore this episode?). It was hard for me to leave it out. The way his rage evaporates into concern when he sees her crying on her porch was the first inkling I had that Spike could be redeemable.

Ah, Buffy philosophy. I love it. I love that you love it.

Also, your icon makes me feel all squishy.
