One thing that really pisses me off..... Mile-long profiles. Seriously!
I mean, I know Fanfiction.net isn't exactly the most SERIOUS!BUSINESS fanfiction site out there - it actually seems to be strongly hated.... But aside for the bad writing part (which I admit, is a large part), there are people that just contribute like WHOA to the bad vibe.
You know when you just arrived at a certain author's profile, and you want to check out their fics? And then you find yourself scrolling down hundreds and hundreds of 'if you did/like/whatever _____ copy and paste this' thingies!! O. M. G. I literally just spent 2 whole minutes pressing the 'down' arrow (lol, because stupid, optimistic me figured it couldn't possibly be long enough to merit the use of the 'end' button - me was WRONG), and still, I did not reach the end of the stupid profile.
Do these people actually think we have the patience (or time for that matter) to read through all of that? Or is all that crap solely for the purpose of being cool and trendy...? Because, not only is it annoying, but it actually turns me off of reading their stuff. Or is that just me - makes me wonder...
there really should be a word limit on the profile. Everywhere. Forever! *cough* Am I exagerating? >_>
