You have changed, he has changed.
You’ve both grown up from the days the physical connection on the pitch was needed as a reassurance of your love. Iker was disappointed, of course he was. He was frustrated about the defeat, but also because he didn’t get to play against Gigi.
He knew that playing against each other wouldn’t have included any real physical contact during the game like with the other players. But it would have included changed jerseys and friendly embraces.
