 This is an entry I've been meaning to make for quite some time.

It's for a little, addictive thing I like to call; reviews.

I will be using examples from my own stories, just to give you an idea, but I want to address what makes me angry about the entire reviewing system.

I dislike review beggers myself. I won't review if people beg, and I refuse to even read stuff that says "i will update again when I get ___ hits."

I'm a pretty vain person, and I like reviews. So I've developed my system. People write me a review and they get something EXTRA, more than just the chapter...and not just a line or a tiny preview. It's worked really well (Dudez, I got like 330 reviews last chapter wtf?) and I've found that the quality of the reviews has gone up quite a lot. For every "UPDATE SOON OMC!" I get, I get two reviews of quality adn substance.

My asolute biggest pet peeve is when people try to MAKE themselves popular. There is one author on the site that has PMed me (and several other more popular authors) trying to get me to read her stuff - if you email me I'll tell you who ;-). I've noticed she reviews popular fics with the request, I'm guessing hoping for a plug? I dunno. It annoys me.

And LOTS of great fics don't get very many reviews. Saying Goodbye was way better than Fated and it gets way more reviews for me. Mandi1's fic Troubled is AMAZING and it gets hardly any reviews because it's Q/C.
