Clandestine-secrets!

Oh the title makes me laugh, since Clandestine means and closley guarded secret, and I am telling you secrets about Clandestine . I am so silly.

HERE ARE SOME FUN FACTS ABOUT MY FIC CLANDESTINE, since I am writing an update for it now, and I just realised something.

I've written out an outline for this fic, and while It follows the basics of what cause me to start writing it, it's missing the primary factors that made me come up with it.

The whole reason I wanted to write this book was because I had an image in my head of Edward with a hollowed out book in his hand, and inside of it were tokens from the dates he went on with Bella.

It was supposed to be Carlisle and Esme as Edward's parents, and Carlisle was very strifct on Edward doing well in school, and NOT dating, which was why Edward had to keep Bella a secret. Essentially, Carlisle was going to find Edward and Bella together, flip out, and then Edward would leave and Carlisle would see he was wrong.

Also, Marie was never supposed to be in it. It was supposed to be Bella moved home to take care of Rosalie, and then Jasper moved home as well since they had no other family left. I don't know when Alice and Emmett were supposed to come into play though.

I think the first factor for the big change was that in the original one, I wanted it to take place in the 50s. But, since I don't know too much about that time, and I didn't want to kid myself and try to write a decent fic, I changed it to modern times. Then I figured Carlisle would be a much more modern, easy going father, so that scratched that.

Essentially, when I sat down to write the first chapter I had a high society upper class family in my mind, so Edward's original parents seemed to best fit that role, since I couldn't imagine Esme being that mean.

So there you go. In the outline there is no mention of the hollowed out book, and I rather like the original version much better (even if it involved a peeping tom Mike Newton as the catalyst for all the conflict). Still, I think Clandestine is alright.

Do you?

THERE'S A LITTLE FUN FACT FOR YOU.
Now I want to know if the original version or the one I have published was better. hm...
(i think the original was.)

secrets!, update, clandestine
