The power went out while I was conversing with Bill. Happily, my laptop has a fully charged battery. Unhappily, the cable modem and wireless router are dependent on power from the wall. Happily, I have a battery backup thing. Unhappily, it is attached to a machine I never use anymore as it sits in another room. Happily, there is an unsecured wireless connection out there and I am using it.
I will have to move the battery backup.
