(no subject)
well i updated this thing. i also switched to sponsored+, obviously. i don't like the ads, but i like the benefits. still, i haven't decided if the new features are worth the so-called "selling out" of my journal.
any ideas?
i'm working at goal right now, hence the web time and the new background. i like helping these kids learn web site design, but they are incredibly, ridiculously, overly obsessed with animated icons.
but here's the thing that really gets to me about goal right now. it's not necessarily the program, but the university. last year this class was taught in a quiet, private lab classroom. this year that room was booked and this class is being held in a public lab, partitioned by shitty moving walls, and the lab is not limited to just the class. students come in and out constantly and seem annoyed and the antics of 4th through 7th graders in their labs. but i'm NOT going to tell the kids to not talk, they paid good money to be here and this is supposed to be fun, involved, energetic learning. it's really pissing me off that they're getting treated so poorly right now. students wander in and out and chat with the lab attendant, they print stuff, and they scowl at the kids. i want to punch them. boo to college kids, and i'm suddenly glad i'm not one of them anymore.

ps you REALLY need to check out this background on internet explorer instead of mozilla. it's really beautiful with the opacity turned down, but that doesn't show up on mozilla. right? right.
