Sherlock could only curse at himself for letting the obvious signs slide right by him unnoticed. Then again, maybe he didn't want to know.
Specially not like this...
"Hello, freak."
Sherlock didn't want to turn. Maybe part of him believed it wouldn't be true if he actually didn't see her and the obvious signs of sex on her body.
"Oh, no," Sherlock sighed to himself.
John, who had been awkwardly trying to tell Sherlock Sargeant Donovan was the girl using their shower, was quick to say, "I was going to tell you-"
"Oh, no."
"Not like this, of course-"
"No, no, no, no..." Sherlock slowly started to turn around.
It's a joke.
It's his imagination.
It's freaking brain damage.
"Where do you keep your coffee?"
No.
It's real.
It's Sally Donovan, standing in his kitchen with her hair wet and all wrapped up on... Oh, how dared he?!
"That is mine!" Sherlock said, pointing at the blue silk robe like it was his favorite Teddy Bear.
"You said you didn't like it anymore," John said. However, Sherlock seemed on the verge of a tantrum.
Sally slightly raised her eyebrows as if she didn't realize the offensiveness of her gowns. Then, she reached for the sash, "Alright."
"Don't - you - even...!"
Her hands dropped.
"Well, make up your mind," she smirked and walked back to the kitchen to look for a mug.
"Besides," John continued, "you got a new one!"
"Don't worry, dear," Sally said, too sweetly for Sherlock's ears. "I'll return it, cleaned and pressed."
"Burn it."
"Sherlock!" John said, ready to demand an apology, but Sally grinned.
"Don't worry. It's fine."
Then, just to spite Sherlock, she walked up to John and gave him a peck on the cheek. "I'll be upstairs."
Sherlock followed her leaving with a deadly glare that seemed to amuse her. But when he turned it on John, his roommate bit on his lips nervously, "In my defense, you scared off everyone else."
