First gay marriage happened on Brasil today! A couple of men decided to convert their civil union into marriage and, this morning, they were married. Very recently, out Supreme Court decided that gay couples could officially enter civil unions - only, in Brasil, straight couples could convert their unions into marriage, by court decision. It was being debated if that would also aply to gay couples. Today, it did. It doesn't make it official to every gay couple, it still depends on the judges, but it sure as hell makes everything easier for gay marriages to come.
