Finale week!

FINALE WEEK

Finale week is always a sad time for all of us. It means we'll have to go back to our school papers and real lives and live with our sad, lonely head canon all summer. Oh, that's only me? Okay then. Anyway. What's up with you?

No?

Then lets just share some thought, alright?

HIMYM

I'm bored, Ted. Bored bored bored bored bored just like your kids must be! You stopped being funny around two years ago and I'm not sure I can care about you and your friends anymore. Barney turned from a fun loving bohemian to a whore, Robin is going nowhere, Ted is just falling in love with anything that moves and Lily and Marshal are the only ones actually traying to grow but quickly falling into rude jokes about vomit and meatballs. The good things about this season were Marshall's dad and Barney's dad (NPH and Segel nailed those episodes).

My only hope is that Barney will be in charge of next season's flashback on How I Met My Future Wife Robin/Other Chick and things will get funny again. And he maybe - JUST MAYBE - will stop pushing us around and just tell us who the heck is that woman!!

TBBT

Penny, Amy and Bernadette (and Pria, why not?) should have their own spin off show. I mean, producers, hello! It's like geeks only better because they're so different! I did enjoy this season a lot, specially whenever the girls interacted. I could watch Amy all day long, and her relationship with Sheldon is my Big Bang OTP from now on - though I've started having a soft spot for Sheldon/Penny lately. It had its silly moments and I don't really know why they keep trying to get Penny and Leonard back together when they were such a disaster last season, just as much as I don't know why I should root for Pria and Leonard, but I was very happy with this season's plots all together. More please, CBS!

SUPERNATURAL

I watch this because of Castiel. And he wasn't there so much this season, fighting a war and all (the actor had just become a father, am I right? So totally understandable why the new regular was not so regular after all). Bobby won me over easily, best episode of the season was around him and Crowley. Also, Balthazar turned into my second favorite angel within five minutes of screen time. And, oh, yeah, there was Dean and Sam. They were fun to watch. I like Mean!Sam better than Soul!Sam. Mean!Sam is all kinds of awesome. No idea why they had to bring back Soul!Sam, that guy whines too much. And Dean is Angry!Dean as usual, but he's got some awesome scenes, specially towards the end.

It was a pretty irregular, nothing like the last two ones - which I had to catch up with withing the past two months. Fourth, awesome. Fifth, awesome with lame ending. Sixth, ups and downs with AWESOME MIND BLOWING ENDING. The past five episodes got me holding my breath.

Now, Dean is got no more Linda and Ben, Sam is got his broken soul back, Bobby... is pretty much the same, only now I love him with all my heart because he's all kinds of cool, and Castiel went bananas.

Yeah, that's what I call character development. After being treated as an employee of humans most season I can't really say I'm surprised - sure they're friends, but I kinda agree with (killed too soon) Rachel on that one.

Little issues I have, however: the turn from doubtfull Cass to eager to open purgatory Cass on the last episode was way too quick. Last episode he was apologising and helping Linda and Ben and now he's deatroying Sam? Very little sense to me, specially because we could watch one episode after the other. There was a missing scene there.

Second issue: he let Crowley go, but killed Balthazar. Really? The angel allowed the demon to live, but killed his oldest friend because he helped Dean get to his hiding place? Not only did they kill BALTHAZAR (for which I'll never forgive them), they did it in a way that was not believable was quite predictable. Specially hurtful because I think he was helping the hairless apes to stop Castiel because he was afraid his friend could very well explode in the process. I am happy Crowley lived and Raphael exploded, but... I was SOOOO shipping Balthazar/Castiel!! Why did you have to kill him?!

Ah, screw it! I'll just head-canon this shit and save him somehow. Just like I did with Zacharia. Where do angels go when they die?

Finally. Cass goes all the way bad. My theory was that, after going mad with pride and fear during his civil war, he carelessly open the door to purgatory and got the evil soulds in - I'm betting there will be an episode explaing this later, like everything else Castiel related since season four when we learned about Jimmy (other trickie question, where the hell is Jimmy in all of this?). I'm not sure if Something Evil got a hold of his body and brain or the Evilness of the millions of souls just got him drunk with power, but for sure that was not a simple matter of Cass went dark side and mad with power.

I have no idea how they'll fix this now without killing Misha Collins a third- wait... counting... fourth! Fourth time! He's no longer a regular, which is okay by me, and the thought of dark!Castiel is kinda delightful but I really don't wanna see the guy written off the show already. Can't he just come back like Soul!Sam did?

Or maybe I'll enjoy dark!Castiel better. It remains to be seen.

The point is, I'm not giving up this show already.

CRIMINAL MINDS

Silly. Silly. Silly. Silly. Criminal Minds was never a masterpiece but it could at least be fun to watch. Now it's just pointless. And they got rid of JJ and Prentiss for no good reason other than to introduce a cute, younger, sillier girl into the story. Had they used her as a romantic interest for Reid and as a recurring I'd like it better. Not sure I'll watch next season, not really caring for it right now. Is a miracle I actually lasted this whole season.

MODERN FAMILY

I'm all for gay rights. I'm mad about tv gay couples. You tell me there's a gay character out there I'll give the little guy (sometimes girl) a chance to win me over, and he'll probably do - what, you think I watched the Donald Strachey movies because they're so good? Please.

So it's kinda ironic to myself that I want Mitch and Cam to split up so bad. I mean, they just don't fit together. And a divorced gay couple is still relevant. Mitch is just too selfish all the time and Cam is always frustrated whenever they're together, kinda remind me of a good friend I had and her boyfriend - right before they burned into ashes and split up.

Don't go thinking I didn't enjoy these two or the show in general, it's still my favorite show at this moment.

THE GOOD WIFE

Not really much to say except this was even better than last season and I want more of it NOW.

review, criminal minds, himym, supernatural, the good wife, the big bang theory, modern family
