This was a great read! Poor Hotch! I think you got into his character quite well, and I can totally imagine that ending taking place.

I can totally see Hotch doing this, being so caught up in his grief and pain and wondering what Haley saw in this man. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Nicely done. I like the distance you establish by referring to him as "Adams" and the domineering bullishness of Hotch. There is a tenseness about this, a brittleness about Hotch that you know he's holding on to things and just trying to make sense of it all. And when Hotch cuts through everything, his heartbreaking "I didn't need to know who you were" at the end is very powerful. Thanks for sharing!
