In honor of the RENT movie, and in honor of me probably not keeping AOL much longer (huzzah!) because it hardly works on my Mac, I have a new SN: IgnitetheAir4U. Add me. If you want to.

I hope all you spoke like a pirate at least once two days ago. I watched POTC with a bunch of people late at night. Which you know, I'm not sure if that actually counts, but it was fun. We had fun trying to point out plotholes the entire time. (Bootstrap Bill cannot possibly be dead! IT'S A LIE!)

I'm Moaning Myrtle in Hogwarts at Hamilton. Twill be amazingly, nerdily fun.

Ich bin sehr mude.

I've decided Thomas Hobbes was kind of an ass. His view on human nature seems to basically be that, unless an absolute sovereign ruler is established, a state of nature will occur. And then, once the ruler is established, humans must obey him completely and have no reason not to, because it would be against their nature. Okay, first of all, anytime a state of nature has come close to occuring in history, it has never truly degraded to an actual state of nature. Even in apparently anarchist-societies, people tend to clump together and follow SOMEONE. And hey, every time we've had one of those absolute sovereigns, they've pretty much SUCKED.

I had to read a bunch of The Leviathan, basically. Then I started reading Rousseau, who's awesome, because he basically bitch slapped Hobbes.

I worked with crazy!Greek kid today in theatre. Umm. I don't really know how to describe. Think of the guy in that super cheesy movie The Prince and Me, except less mean and more weird.

I really like this song right now from Guys and Dolls, I'm not even a huge Guys and Dolls fan:

My time of day is the dark time
A couple of deals before dawn
When the street belongs to the cop
And the janitor with the mop
And the grocery clerks are all gone.

When the smell of the rainwashed pavement
Comes up clean, and fresh, and cold
And the streetlamp light
Fills the gutter with gold

That's my time of day
My time of day

Look how pointless this entry was. I was going to write a poem, based on that song actually, but it just...didn't happen.

Oh, I went to this concert of South Indian music a few nights ago. It was really interesting. I love hearing music that is completely different than anything that would ever come out of a Western country. It gives a completely different feeling when you hear it. All music creates imagery, and this seemed so distinct. If that made sense.
